The teaching by projects in technical sciences: an experience in Pedagogy subject

Abstract

The inclusion of the subject Pedagogy in the specialties of Engineering and Architecture, with the aim of providing a preparation for future graduates to let him serve as teachers, at some point, and when he required his professional activity constituted a challenge due to low student motivation, lack of connection of the subject with their qualifications and the need to think of methods and ways of teaching that will solve this shortcoming in achieving the objectives.
Experience with students from 5th occurs. Year of Architecture, with which the project teaching method was adopted because it is the main used in the training of architects. This improved motivation Pedagogy was achieved, which greatly facilitated the work of the teacher in this regard. The results of applying the
experience exceeded expectations, as shown. The proposal was based primarily on the principles of the Historical Cultural Approach in the theoretical and methodological fundamentals of the Teaching of Engineering and Architecture
and in some early project teaching.
