For example, the creation of teacher collaboration networks is suggested as a way to support the continuing professional development of teachers, particularly with regard to their teaching of 21st century competencies and the use of digital tools as part of these competencies. These networks could facilitate the creation and exchange of educational innovations related to teaching and learning through teacher collaboration, research and problem-solving activities, as well as close links with classroom practice.
