Use of educational technologies to develop research competencies in Dominican Master of Public Health
Abstract
Master's degrees in public health in the Dominican Republic train health professionals who must implement the essential functions of public health and develop health research in the country. The present study aims to assess the use of educational technologies in the development of research competencies in students of Dominican master's degrees in public health. The methodology used includes theoretical and empirical methods. The theoretical methods used were the historical-logical and the analytical-synthetic, and the empirical methods were the documentary review, the interview of experts and the observation of educational experiences. The results indicated the viability of an educational strategy based on the use of ICTs aimed at achieving notable improvements in the development of research competencies in students of Dominican master's degrees in public health.
