Abstract

The internationalization of higher education is one of the functions that has been developed and consolidated in a vertiginous way in recent decades accompanied by the globalization process. Each country in general and higher education institution in particular participates from its traditions, achievements and possibilities. In the case of China, local universities are looking for their space within international relations, due to reflect their potentialities, manifested in the degree of specialization achieved in an area of knowledge, the talents in that knowledge as well as local and cultural traditions which they transmit. To do this, they need an internationalization policy consistent with their reality and aspirations to be planned at the institution level which consider the indicators of the internationalization projects that evaluate this function. This article aims at assessing the indicators that are considered in different projects to evaluate the quality of internationalization, which was carried out through a comparative study. The results of the assessment allowed to recommend the lines to be considered in the design of an internationalization policy for local Chinese universities.
