Breaking with traditional education schemes and learning from the Cuban production systems
Abstract
This work focuses on reflecting the experiences acquired during several academic courses in delivering the course on Technological processes IV, which is based on the Study Plan developed by the industrial engineering department at ISPJAE Technical Institute. The knowledge system and skills are based on the industrial automation field. This paper shows the integration of a system of methods (mutual learning process based on study cases) and didactic resources (books, seminars, several study cases and exams), where the quality of the teaching-learning process has been improved and a significant development in the level, quality and students dedication when taking the course has changed the traditional formation schemes. In order to estimate the project impact, the PNI instrument was used and it also depicted the academic results obtained during the last three courses.
