Abstract

Pedagogical leadership involves a series of practices aimed at fostering appropriate teaching environments that facilitate student learning. The objective of this article is to analyze the trends and approaches to pedagogical leadership and its influence to strengthening learning in higher education. A systematic review was conducted according to the PRISMA guidelines. Twenty articles were selected from two databases: SciELO (n=10) and Scopus (n=10), from which four thematic areas related to the article's objective were identified. The results showed that the influence of pedagogical leadership occurs primarily indirectly through pedagogical support, feedback, collaborative work, and the use of assessment for decision-making. It was also found that its effectiveness is enhanced by ongoing training and institutional support, and limited by administrative overload and resource gaps. It was concluded that pedagogical leadership has an indirect influence on student learning.
