Contributions of “Professor Castañeda” or how the work of teachers transcends their existence

Abstract

These short nine pages of the article attempt to present the immense career and work of Angel Emilio Castañeda Hevia, Doctor of Science, Professor, Consulting Professor and Emeritus Professor of this university that celebrates 60 years of its founding, has had an everlasting impact that honors and deserves our institution. In it, four practical contributions of his work are highlighted, Because his theoretical work in the fields of engineering, pedagogy and research cannot be covered in such a small space. A brief summary of the main milestones of his professional and human development is presented,. and we come to the conclusion that our University, its Cujae, bears the indelible mark of its presence and transformative action. and we have the responsibility to preserve his work and his memory.
