Characterization of the pedagogical professional performance of Digital Systems professors at the University of Informatics Sciences

The university as an institution has historically had the social task of training competent professionals committed to society. In the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education in Cuba, 47/2022, 145/2023, and 140 /2019 it is expressed which are the functions of teachers, how their pedagogical professional performance should be and that professional improvement is the way to achieve it. This article presents the pedagogical professional performance that teachers of Digital Systems in Informatics Science Engineering should have to be up to the demands of Higher Education in the context of Digital Transformation and how it behaves nowadays. The objective is to diagnose the pedagogical professional performance of Digital Systems teachers in Informatics Science Engineering in the context of Digital Transformation. The research is based on the dialectical-materialist conception and uses technology for the determination of problems and potentialities from Advanced Education Theory and the methods of documentary review, observation, survey, and interview. With the use of methodological triangulation, the problems and potentialities related to the pedagogical professional performance of teachers of the discipline of Digital Systems in the major of Informatics Science Engineering were obtained.
