Abstract

This article identifies the particularities of the design of a strategy aimed at the training of teachers at the University of the Communist Party of Cuba (UPCC), based on the diagnosis of the main deficiencies of the training process in the institution and the analysis of the current context, where the professionals of political-ideological pedagogical education develop professionally and socially. They are supported by the treatment of the two theoretical axes determined since 2020 for the development of Pedagogy and Education, the first is related to the thinking about the training of teachers in general and the second with pedagogical training in the political-ideological area. The application of Grounded Theory methodology, through the theoretical sampling and constant comparison methods and the review of documents as procedures, allowed the study of the background of teacher training at the UPCC, the characterization of the current situation of the faculty and the identification of the aspects that, in the pedagogical and political-ideological order, must make up the proposed strategy. Finally, it is indicated that the fundamental aspects of political-ideological pedagogical training must be contained in the pedagogical strategy to train teachers at the UPCC, due to their impact on the preparation, training, education and improvement of the professional dedicated to political-ideological education depending on the exercise of political direction of the society.
