Active methodologies in the student learning in the Research Methodology subject

The “Manuel Fajardo” University of Physical Culture and Sport Sciences is aimed at updating their undergraduate and postgraduate training processes by introducing active methodologies in the regular, encounter and postgraduate courses for athletes, which allows to identify the following scientific problem: how to improve students´ learning process in the Research Methodology subject at the University of Physical Culture and Sport Sciences? and the general objective: introducing the active methodologies to improve the students´ learning process in the Research Methodology subject at the University of Physical Culture and Sport Sciences. This research is based on the research line related to the professional training of human resources in the teaching-learning process (TLP) through the Educational Technology and Distance Education for Physical Culture and Sport Project, that belongs to the Computing Direction. The results confirmed students ‘ignorance and limitations when using active methodologies supported on informatics tools and applications. Their use in the teaching-learning process led to the training of more proactive students, protagonists, knowledge constructors and active managers of their leaning; to an advance in the form of conceiving the TLP, and to a solution for the lack of technology at the university as well as the poor availability of its cloud due to limitations in the servers.
