Abstract

The article reflects about factors that affects the doctoral training process and the findings addressed in updated publications, combined with the author's experience in training doctoral candidates. The application of the inductive-deductive and analytical-synthetic methods allowed to determine essential aspects related to the perception of the internal content of this process. The results show an internal process that is almost invisible but affects the research development and output.  Socio-emotional contents come from this study and demonstrate the insecurity and negative emotions in doctoral candidates. This research characterizes its meaning for the growth of doctoral candidates and discovers invisible features of the training process. On the other hand, it was found that tutors are not always ready to use the appropriate ways and strategies to make the process more stimulating for the candidates.
