Analysis of scientific production in Pedagogical Sciences: the Podium Journal (2012-2022)

The physical culture sciences constitute a multidisciplinary space where pedagogical sciences are integrated, focusing on sports, recreation, and physical education intended for the comprehensive formation of the human beings. In this regard, it is expected that a scientific journal related to physical culture reflects the categorical system of these sciences. The present study aims at describing the presence of pedagogical categories in the scientific production of the Podium Journal between 2012 and 2022. Bibliometric technique is used as the methodology for analysis, employing seven indicators supported by software such as EndNote, Bibexcel, Ucinet, and NetDraw. Descriptive statistics are employed for the quantitative analysis of the processed data. The results expose the main pedagogical categories studied, along with other bibliometric indicators of relevance. The analysis reveals a diverse and profound presence of pedagogical categories, highlighting the depth of integrating pedagogical sciences within the field of physical culture from the specific perspective of a scientific publication.
