Abstract

At present, developing the country based on science, technology and innovation policies is one of the main priorities in Cuban society. The objective of this article is to systematize the theoretical references about competencies for innovation, assuming a conceptual position that proposes   the main capacities that should characterize it in the case of engineers and that are likely to be developed through academic training. A didactic proposal is presented, for each of the stages that are identified in the training of engineers, based on the objectives that are considered for each stage of technological innovation; teaching methodology and evaluation of learning which considers the teaching task as the central core of the training in a scenario in which the entire teaching-learning process materializes, together with the mediating role of the teacher.
