The digital transformation in the Cuban socio educational context

With the advent of the Social Web or 2.0 Web, the use of Internet services have been benefited which facilitate communication and have opened up new ways of socializing and sharing with people anywhere in the world. Therefore, the digitalization of society constitutes an essential element within the government management strategy based on science and innovation in which digital transformation riches its maximum expression to significantly improve people's lives. All spheres of society must work towards this end. Education is not exempted from this phenomenon, so this article is aimed at systematizing a set of theoretical and methodological ideas related to the digital transformation process in the socio-educational context. For this purpose, the research was structured in three stages: the first dedicated to document and information management; the second one devoted to the review and analysis of the information managed by making precise assessments about the research object and the third stage is aimed at socializing and communicating the systematized resul ts. As result, a first approach to the conceptualization of digital transformation in the socio-educational context is presented, providing definition, characteristics and specific functions.
