Experiences of application of dictating in online music classes

Music teaching in universities globally has also been impacted by the effects caused by the Covid-19 pandemic since 2020. This phenomenon brought with it the need to carry out urgent curricular and methodological transformations in study plans. of the subjects at the Faculty of Music of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (FAMUS-UANL), in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. In the Methodology for the development of musical memory and creativity in Solfeggio classes (MEMOSOLF), created and applied by the author at FAMUSUANL, musical dictation constitutes one of the main didactic strategies. However, its
application in the classes taught online was a great challenge for the achievement of the objectives and the expected results in the study plan and in the subject programs. This article contains valuable information about the experiences and results obtained in the process of applying musical dictation, in solfeggio classes taught online at the Technical and Bachelor levels of FAMUS-UANL. Recommendations are also issued that may be useful for other educational centers dedicated to the teaching of music, as well as in university careers, including Engineering and Architecture.
