Abstract

Training is an organizational form of the postgraduate education essential for updating, improving, systematizing and consolidating practical skills which contributes to level up the professional performance of the worker in his workplace.
This article presents some particularities relevant to the training design, particularly for the English teaching but they can be generalized to other branches. This organizational form is not frequently used in the English teaching. It is considered
that it reports more costs than benefits, however its strengths lie in its correct planning and design. The article explains the potentialities of the training for its implementation in any branch of education. It also exposes the steps to be followed
in its design. The consult, as an organizational form of the training which contributes with great benefits if it is properly conducted, is added. Postgraduate training promotes the specialization of the professionals´ skills; it places them in the
workplace where they can share productive experiences for their future development. It raises confidence and encourages relationships among work colleagues. It is highly flexible and likely to be adjusted at any time in interaction with the branch specialists who receive it.
