Abstract

An application is presented to build the knowledge in the subject Physical
Geology of the Geophysical Engineering career, on the processes that happen in the surface of the Earth and the relationship among them, using a technical of meaningful learning that allows the tansfer from the perceived information, to the conscious knowledge. As many investigations have shown, the meaningful learning can be achieved through the construction of concept maps. The present work shows an experience of application of those maps in the Physical Geology, to build the knowledge about the processes of the planet dynamic and its relationships, which allow to visualize the Earth like a system. The result of this work is the conceptual map with the context of the Earth system conceptualized that illustrates the processes and the relationships between them like evidence of the dynamics of the planet. This map has been used teaching Physical
Geology, with good results for the structuring of knowledge.
