The relation theory-practice in the teachers training context at the Higher Education Centers

Abstract

Nowadays,  the  scientific  and  technological  development  requires  deep  social changes. Higher Education Centers in Cuba are in charge of forming appropriately the  professionals  who  promotes  and  carries  out  these  changes.  University
graduates should be able to find proper and valid solutions to the problems which arise  in  society  according  to  the  historical  context  in  which  they  are  involved.
Therefore,  teachers  who  are  responsible  for  their  development  should  be  also trained to face this challenge at their universities. This  article  is  aimed  at  supporting  the  relation  between  theory  and  practice  to train teachers at higher education centers. The understanding of the core of this
relation  contributes  to  improve  their  professional  performance  considering  the context in which future graduates will perform their activities from a dialectic point of view.
