Abstract

The  work  is  an  approach  to  the  importance  and  immediate  need  that  exists  to protect  and  maintain  the  university's  cultural  heritage  at  the  Superior Polytechnic  Institute  “Jose  Antonio  Echeverria”  (Cujae).  It  aims  to  list  the knowledge,  the  promotion  of  cultural  heritage  of the  university  community  with the values  in higher education formation. Universities usually lack of procedures for the cultural promotion of its assets, including the collection and preservation of  such  documentation.  The  main  results  of  the  work  are  a  method  for integrating the three university substantive processes in solving the problem and its  contribution  to  the  development  of  values  in  the  students  training  and implementation of an optional  subject-elective (Appreciation of cultural heritage of the universities”, 2012) in the Educational Department of University Extension
(DEU).
