Experiences and projections on the practices of study and labor in the formation of the Geophysical Engineers in Cuba
Abstract
The restart of the Geophysical engineering career, in the High Polytechnic Institute “José Antonio Echeverría”, in Cuba, put forward the need to conceive and to start a program of practical in this career. A bibliographic investigation were accomplished to this subject specially in the fields of Geology and the Geophysics and to the analysis of the experiences treasured with regard to this matter. As a result of this investigation it could be observed that at present in several colleges of the American continent, in which they give these profiles, labor practices constitute part of subjects of study or they constitute subjects of study of the race as such.
As a result, has concluded the convenience of programming the realization of teaching practices and labor as integrative independent subjects of study, in the new Geophysical Engineering career about the end of the second semester of the school years second, third and fourth. The teaching practice of second year is: “Geology of Field”; and the labor practices of third year and fourth year are: “Geophysics Applied I” and “Geophysics Applied II”, respectively. At present, it is worked up in the same refinement of them and in conception and planning of the labor practice of fourth year.
