Abstract

Institutional   repositories   have    become  the   main   way   to   publish,   preserve  and disseminate  digital  information  organizations.  Most  of  them   are   supported  by  free software,            following            an            evaluation            of            its            performance. However, one  of the  main difficulties faced by students of the  Instituto Superior Minero Metalúrgico  del  Moa  "Antonio  Núñez  Jiménez"  (ISMMM) when  their  careers to face  is access to educational material on a particular subject. It is true that many teachers worry that students always have  material with which to study and practice, but overall spread. The  present  work  aimed  to  implement  an  institutional  repository  to  capture,  store, manage, preserve and  redistribute  digital  educational  materials  developed  or selected for the teaching-learning process that develops in the ISMMM.
