System of didactic tools for the self-preparation of engineers and architects for meeting clasess

The teaching-educational scenario stressed by the complex health situation derived from Covid-19, brought about an increase in the implementation of online training processes in Cuba. In this context, self-preparation plays a decisive role in the training of the university students. Precisely, the objective of this research is to assess the effectiveness of a system of didactic tools for improving the self-preparation of technical science students for the meeting classes, through online training. It is validated through a pre-experiment carried out with one of the subjects of the Civil Engineering career, taught both in regular and encounter courses. The academic performance and the results of the final evaluation in the 2021 academic year are taken as dependent variables and the previous year as the standard. The results obtained in the two variables evaluated, higher than those of the previous course; demonstrate the effectiveness of the system of didactic tools used, as an initial step in the improvement of the online training of engineers and architects for the meeting classes.
