Abstract

The vertiginous development of Information and Communication Technologies has considerably transformed the teaching-learning process; particularly the teaching of Biology; from virtual learning environments, both in students and teachers. The present research aims to design a system of activities for the development of the ability to explain in the teaching-learning process of Cellular and Molecular Biology in virtual learning environments. The documentary study that was carried out confirmed that the systems of activities proposed by different authors do not respond to the general objective pursued in the research, which led to the assumption of a theoretical reference, based on the systematization that is carried out. In the paper, the methods of the theoretical level were used, which allowed the theoretical analysis of the references that were assumed in the foundation of the system of activities; thus the design of the proposal in question; whose proposal was structured with three activities (forum, questionnaire and task) organized by levels and interrelated among them, which will make it possible to achieve the proposed objective and an investigative result. It can be concluded that a system of activities will contribute to the development of the ability to explain the teaching-learning process of Cellular and Molecular Biology in virtual learning environments for students of Bioinformatics Engineering.
