Conception of culture for the integral model of university extension.

Abstract

The work is derived of the doctoral thesis about the cultural promotion of the investigation in the Superior Polytechnical Institute José Antonio Echeverría [1] in the presence the art and the sport, in detriment of the science, in itf university socio-cultural work. The integrality like essence of that process, distinguish to this remainder of substantive processes as expedite path of university communication with the society. However in your typology they do not make creditors of such distinction the traditionalistic models (settler of culture) and the managerial model (relationship university -undertaking). Although the integral model of extension, basic in the Cuban universities and the Latin American region, that model resists still importunes the reduction conception of culture, that as historical atavism in itf way. For that, the objective of this article define the conception of culture that demands the new university and your model integral of university extension. finish with a wide conception of culture for the university it pays to the local, national and international development, by putting the university, in a privileged way, in a present always in motion when interrelation with the needs felt of the society and from this perspective, inexhaustible source of culture.
