Experiences of the teaching-learning process of geophysical well logging methods in Geophysical Engineering in Cuba

The objective of this article is to show the high levels of learning and motivation for scientific research achieved in the students of the Geophysical Engineering career, as a result of the methodological work developed in the subjects "Well Geophysical Methods" and "Well Geophysical Methods for the prospection and exploration of hydrocarbons, minerals and water ". The methodological work developed allowed to design these subjects dedicating more than 50% of the total hours to the independent work of the students, through practical classes, seminars and extra class control tasks, linked to the solution of real problems of the activity geological in the country. The student participation in scientific events, the acknowledgments received, the exercises of culmination of studies developed in these topics, the favorable opinions of the employers on the performance of the students, demonstrate the effectiveness of the methodological work developed.
