Abstract

The  challenges  that  universities  face  are  changing  nowadays.  The  technological development  demands  from  engineers  to  be  competitive  at  national  and international  levels  to  face  globalization.  Therefore,  future  engineers  should  be creative, innovative and able to solve problems in their field which requires from them  the  development  of  mathematical  skills,  mainly  the  ones  linked  to modeling,  analyzing  and  interpreting  the  data  and  results  obtained, communicating  in  an  accurate  language,  among  others.  These  premises  made possible  the  carrying  out  of  this  article,  which  aims  at  demonstrating  the
symbiotic relationship between Mathematics and the training of the XXI century engineers.
