Quality educational resources in distance education: best practices for their production

On the Internet it is possible to find a wide diversity of digital materials of various themes, structures and formats. This proliferation of information has been used in various sectors such as distance education. Although any material can be used as a resource in a teaching and learning process, not all materials respond adequately to the challenges imposed by this modality. This research aims to identify good practices for the production of quality digital educational resources in distance education. The results of the evaluation of 37 digital educational resources are presented using the instrument developed at the National Center for Distance Education. From this experience, good practices are identified for the production of digital educational resources. The proposal has been organized from the points of view of content, pedagogical and technological quality; and taking into account the provisions of the Distance Education Model of Cuban Higher Education.
