Study for the evaluation of the quality of distance training

In recent years, interest in distance education has increased significantly, so quality evaluation is a great challenge for universities that offer programs in this type of study. The present research was developed with the objective of analyzing the experiences of evaluating the quality of distance training in different institutions, which will contribute to determining new indicators, quality criteria and instruments that could be applied in undergraduate and graduate programs. distance in Cuba. A qualitative methodology was used that allowed the analysis of twelve national and foreign experiences from which it was confirmed that there are no single international standards to evaluate the quality of distance training, evidencing the diversity of instruments and indicators to be evaluated. Subsequently, the common indicators in the analyzed experiences and their correspondence with the components of the Distance Education Model of Cuban Higher Education were identified, resulting in the coincidence in several indicators, which provides an important reference for the evaluation of the quality of distance undergraduate and postgraduate training programs in the country.
