Perception of the use of the ICT in the semi-eyewitness education in university subsidiaries
Abstract
This article aims at assessing the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the academic educational process at the university affiliate of Technical Sciences located in 10 de Octubre municipality. A thematic revision on the use of ICT in face to face encounters and in teaching activities is carried out with the aim of identifying the perception of the students about the contribution of ICT to blended learning and the satisfaction of their interests with the purpose of evaluating the level in which students recognize the benefits of using ICT appropriately in their academic education. The project is developed through individual and group surveys which were applied to students of different academic courses in contrast with the results of the observation and interviews to executives and professors. The results show the perception of the students about the fact that an academic education which satisfies their interests can be developed diversifying the use of ICT and planning strategies for the development of new resources and teaching aids for the future in spite of the lack of enough technical equipment.
